Washing baby and children's clothing properly

This symbol indicates whether household washing is possible or not and applies to both hand and machine washing. The numbers in the wash tub correspond to the maximum washing temperatures in degrees Celsius that must not be exceeded.

A bar below the wash tub calls for mild treatment with reduced laundry quantity and low spin speed. The double bar means a very mild treatment with reduced mechanics (e.g. wool wash).

Do not wash

Items marked in this way must not be washed. They may also be sensitive to any wet treatment or are unsuitable for treatment in the household washing machine due to their size.

Handwash

Water temperature max. 40 °C depending on the article. First dissolve the mild detergent/wool detergent well in plenty of water. Place the textiles floating in the detergent solution and move them carefully. Do not rub, tug or wring. Then rinse the textiles well, squeeze out carefully and pull into shape. Treat coloured and sensitive laundry items quickly and do not leave them wet.
