Have baby and children's clothes professionally cleaned

It is sometimes not easy to interpret and understand the wide range of care instructions. Here you will find an overview of how to interpret the symbols and cleaning instructions correctly.

Have textiles for baby and children professionally cleaned

Professional textile care

The symbol indicates whether professional textile care is possible or not. For professional textile care, both organic solvents and specifically aqueous processes can be considered, therefore the care labelling distinguishes between dry cleaning (formerly dry cleaning) and wet cleaning.

Professional dry cleaning

The letters in the circle are primarily intended for the professional textile cleaner. They mainly give an indication of the solvent in question.
The bar below the circle means that the mechanical stress, moisture addition, bath and/or drying temperature must be reduced during cleaning.

Professional wet cleaning

The symbol for wet cleaning is used for articles that can be treated in water in wet cleaning processes. The requirements for the machine equipment, the auxiliaries used and the finishing methods cannot be achieved with the conditions of household washing machines.

Treatment in cleaning machine with the following solvents

Perchloroethylene, hydrocarbons. Normal cleaning procedure without restriction. Commercially available solvent-based stain removers can be used with restrictions. A test on a concealed area is recommended beforehand.

Gentle treatment in cleaning machine with the following solvents

Perchloroethylene, hydrocarbons. Cleaning methods with limitation of moisture addition and/or mechanical stress and/or temperature. Commercially available solvent-based stain removers can be used with restrictions. A test on a concealed area is recommended beforehand.

Do not dry clean

Dry cleaning is not possible. Do not treat with solvents. Do not use stain removers containing solvents.

Wet-cleaning

Normal wet cleaning procedure without restriction.

Mild wet cleaning

Wet cleaning process for delicate textiles with low mechanical stress.

Very mild wet cleaning

Wet cleaning process for very delicate textiles with very low mechanical stress.

Do not wet clean

No wet cleaning possible.
