Frequently asked questions & answers about our bodysuits for babies
The baby bodysuit not only protects sensitive skin, but is also easy to put on and take off. Legroom for babies is also important. The bodysuits offer enough space for the nappy and give it extra support.
Since the bodysuits are also considered underwear, 6-8 bodysuits are recommended. Just as adults change their underwear regularly, this also applies to babies.
Preferably WITHOUT chemical cleaning agents! Simple household remedies often help, such as baking soda for carrot stains or potato starch for spinach stains. Bile soap also helps with vomit.
Most baby bodysuits have buttons in the crotch for easy nappy changing. There are also special changing bodysuits, these have a row of buttons on the side that go all the way to the crotch to make changing the nappy very easy.
As a rule of thumb, the size in cm corresponds to the clothing size. If your boy or girl is 65 cm tall, you should go for size 68. It's better to be a little too big and have more freedom than too small and tight. You can find more information about sizes for babies and children here on our help pages.
A baby body is a one-piece suit and has no, short or long sleeves but no legs. A romper suit is also a one-piece but has long legs.
There are different lengths of sleeves, so there are sleeveless, short-sleeved and long-sleeved baby bodysuits. Then there are also special changing bodysuits for babies, which can be opened at the bottom and sides to make changing nappies even easier.
There are no rules about this. For some children it is simply relaxed to wear a bodysuit. As soon as your child goes to the toilet alone, it is advisable to stop wearing a bodysuit, as it is easier to pull down trousers than to undo the buttons on the crotch to go to the toilet.
The bodysuit is your baby's underwear and is worn like a second skin. The bodysuit for your boy or girl should therefore be soft and, if possible, made of natural materials. For easy undressing and dressing, there should be few buttons that are easy to open. You should make sure that nothing is sewn on that could come loose and be swallowed by the baby.
